CM Bugti Defends Balochistan Policies in X Space, Highlights Youth and Reform Agenda

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said his interactive session on X Spaces provided a comprehensive response to what he described as misleading narratives about the province. The open discussion, which reportedly attracted more than 16,000 participants, including critics and representatives of non-governmental organizations, focused on issues ranging from enforced disappearances to governance, development, and security.
During the session, Bugti accused the Baloch Yakjehti Committee of using the issue of missing persons to incite violence, while asserting that violent elements would not be able to undermine the writ of the state. He also outlined the provincial government’s youth engagement strategy, saying work is underway on employment initiatives, while highlighting reforms such as the introduction of pension reforms and an electric vehicles policy in Balochistan.
The chief minister said the provincial government has allocated special funds for higher education scholarships and plans to provide high-speed internet to government schools, colleges, and universities. He added that a Rs4 billion project will extend internet connectivity to educational institutions and healthcare facilities across the province as part of efforts to improve public services and expand digital access.
