Wildlife Department Seizes 7 Flamingos in Karachi Operation, Suspects Escape

Wildlife law enforcement officials conducted an operation at Empress Market in Karachi, a spokesperson for the Sindh Wildlife Department said. During the raid, authorities recovered seven flamingos, while the suspects involved managed to flee the scene.

According to the spokesperson, the birds were found with their wings clipped, raising concerns over illegal capture and trading practices. The recovered wildlife has been taken into custody as officials continue further investigation into the matter.

The department said a case will be registered under the Sindh Wildlife Protection Act. Authorities added that efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the individuals involved in the illegal possession and transport of the birds.
