BLA Terror Plot Foiled in Karachi as CTD Arrests Two Terrorists in Intelligence-Based Operation

KARACHI – A major terrorism plot linked to the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has reportedly been foiled in Karachi after the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Sindh and security agencies conducted an intelligence-based operation and arrested two terrorists.

According to CTD officials, the arrested terrorists were trained at BLA terrorist camps and were involved in reconnaissance activities targeting sensitive installations. Officials claimed that the terrorists were collecting information about important locations and providing details to the banned organization.

The CTD identified the arrested terrorists as Mujahid Baloch and Fareed Baloch, also known as Zakar Ban. Officials said the terrorists were allegedly working to establish a network against law enforcement agencies and were involved in activities aimed at carrying out terrorist operations.

During the operation, security officials claimed to have recovered around four kilograms of explosive material from the terrorists. Detonators, prima cords, and ball bearings were also reportedly seized during the action.

The CTD stated that the operation was conducted on the basis of intelligence information and successfully prevented a potential terrorist attack in Karachi. Authorities said further investigation is underway to uncover the wider network and identify other individuals involved in terrorist activities.

Security agencies have reiterated that intelligence-based operations will continue across the country to dismantle terrorist networks and protect citizens, key installations, and national security.
