Maryam Nawaz Announces Development Initiatives for AJK During Muzaffarabad Rally

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz addressed a public gathering in Muzaffarabad during the Azad Jammu and Kashmir election campaign, claiming that PML-N’s 17 seats were overturned in the 2021 elections. She said some people had recently arrived in the region to raise complaints, adding that her party would continue working until free education was provided to children in Azad Kashmir.

Maryam Nawaz said a stronger Pakistan would lead to a stronger Azad Kashmir and highlighted development projects in Punjab, claiming that every city and area of the province was witnessing progress. She announced a gift of 10 buses for Muzaffarabad and said the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” housing scheme would also be introduced in Azad Kashmir, with houses worth up to Rs500,000 planned under the initiative.

The Punjab chief minister said major development projects in Azad Kashmir carried the PML-N’s contribution and urged critics to assess the performance of areas governed by the party. She also announced plans for 15 mobile hospitals to provide healthcare services at people’s doorsteps, saying she considered herself Kashmiri by heritage and emotion and describing Kashmir as Pakistan’s “Jugular vein.”
