Four Fitna al-Khawarij Militants Killed, Constable Gulfam Martyred in Swat Operation

Police and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) have launched an operation against Fitna al-Khawarij militants in Matta, Swat, killing four militants and injuring several others.

According to reports, the operation was carried out in Rashid Sar area of Matta, where security forces successfully took control of an important strategic position.

During the operation, Elite Force Constable Gulfam was martyred while bravely fighting the militants.

Reports said four militants had taken shelter inside a house and were using the residents as human shields. The operation is still underway.

The use of civilians as human shields has been described as a sign of the militants’ desperation and cowardice.

Law enforcement agencies will continue operations against Fitna al-Khawarij until the threat is completely eliminated.
