PML-N Rejects PPP Allegations in AJK Polls, Urges Election Commission to Decide on Evidence

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Election Cell for Azad Jammu and Kashmir has submitted a formal response to the Election Commission, rejecting allegations made by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) regarding the LA-31 constituency and describing the complaint as baseless.
In its submission, the PML-N said its candidate, Raja Saqib Majeed, and party workers participated in the electoral process in accordance with the election code of conduct. The party maintained that polling in LA-31 remained peaceful, transparent, and well-organized, and alleged that the PPP’s claims were an attempt to cast doubt on an otherwise fair electoral process.
The PML-N urged the Election Commission to decide all complaints strictly on the basis of evidence and legal requirements, requesting that no action be taken against any candidate or party worker without substantiated proof. The party also called on the Commission to ensure transparent polling, maintain its impartiality, respect the public mandate, and reiterated its full confidence in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Election Commission.
