AJK Elections 2026: Third Phase Polling Underway in 4 Constituencies

The third phase of the Azad Kashmir elections is underway, with polling taking place in four constituencies across Bagh and Haveli districts.

According to Election Commission officials, polling started at 8am and will continue until 5pm without any break.

The constituencies going to the polls are LA-14, LA-15, LA-16 and LA-17, where more than 460,000 registered voters are eligible to cast their ballots.

A total of 82 candidates are contesting in the third phase, with a close competition expected between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).

The Chief Election Commissioner said elections in the Poonch and Sudhanoti constituencies have been postponed.

In the first phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections, PML-N won nine of the 13 seats in the Mirpur division, while the PPP secured four seats. In the second phase, elections were held for nine seats in the Muzaffarabad division and 12 seats for Muhajireen. PML-N won 15 of these seats, while the PPP secured six.
