Mohsin Naqvi Conveys Special Message from PM and Field Marshal to Iranian President

TEHRAN: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran, with details of their meeting now emerging.

According to sources, Naqvi conveyed a special message from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to the Iranian president.

The sources said the interior minister also briefed President Pezeshkian about the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement signed between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.

Naqvi met President Pezeshkian in Tehran a day earlier during his visit to Iran.

Following the meeting, President Pezeshkian said Iran was ready to work with Pakistan to strengthen cooperation. He said stronger bilateral relations would serve the interests of both countries and contribute to regional security and stability.

Pezeshkian also said that stronger ties between Pakistan and Iran could help improve security in the region.
