Eight Muslim Nations Condemn Israeli Plans to Displace Palestinians from Gaza

ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Ministers of Pakistan, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates have strongly condemned statements by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz regarding the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.
In a joint statement, the ministers rejected proposals and plans aimed at forcibly removing Palestinians from their land, describing such measures as a flagrant violation of international law, including international humanitarian law, and a direct threat to the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
The ministers reaffirmed their unequivocal rejection of any attempts or plans to displace Palestinians, whether within or outside the Occupied Palestinian Territory, under any pretext or justification.
They warned that turning calls for forced displacement into declared policy or concrete measures to uproot Palestinians from their land would have grave consequences and undermine international efforts to achieve peace and regional stability.
The ministers stressed that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the Occupied Palestinian Territory and underscored the need to preserve the unity of Palestinian territory, including the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
They reaffirmed that a just and lasting peace can only be achieved through implementation of the two-State solution, with the establishment of an independent Palestinian State along the lines of 4 June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant international resolutions.
The ministers also called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to fulfil its responsibilities and firmly oppose any attempts to impose a new demographic or geographic reality in the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
They urged the international community to ensure respect for international law and reaffirmed their full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land.
The ministers also rejected all attempts to erase the Palestinian cause or undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
