Pakistan Sends 100 Tons of Humanitarian Aid to Flood-Hit Nepal

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has dispatched 100 tons of humanitarian assistance to Nepal to support relief efforts following devastating floods and landslides in the country.

At the direction of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, the assistance was sent on 6 September 2026 through a chartered flight from Islamabad to Kathmandu. The relief consignment, coordinated by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), includes tents, blankets, mats, hygiene kits and medicines for affected communities.

A send-off ceremony was held at Islamabad International Airport, attended by Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry as chief guest, along with the Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan and senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NDMA and other concerned organisations.

The assistance reflects Pakistan’s solidarity with the Government and people of Nepal and its support for relief efforts during the difficult situation.
