19th Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (SAWW) Conference Held at Karachi University

KARACHI: The 19th Khatm-e-Nabuwwat (SAWW) Conference was held at the University of Karachi, bringing together scholars, academics and students to highlight the significance of the finality of Prophethood and the teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Dr. M. Tufail Jokhio presided over the conference, while Dr. Maria Yusuf served as the organizer and compere. Dr. M. Ahmad Qadri also attended the event and addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of understanding the teachings and exemplary life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and incorporating them into practical life.

Dr. M. Ahmad Qadri said that the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) should not remain limited to speeches and discussions but should be reflected in the conduct and actions of Muslims. He stressed that the message of Islam promotes harmony, compassion, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence, and that Muslims should present this authentic and balanced spirit of Islam through their character and behavior. He further highlighted the importance of imaan, taqwa and social justice, saying that these principles are essential for building a just and harmonious society. He urged participants, particularly young people, to follow the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings in their personal and social lives.

The conference also featured a speech competition in which students presented their views on the concept of Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), and their relevance to contemporary society. The competition was adjudicated by Syed Mehdi Abbas, Furrukh Saeed Ahmad and Ahsan Khan, who evaluated participants on the basis of content, research, delivery, argumentation and presentation skills While Head Adjudicator Syed Mehdi Abbas applauded the speeches and also added valuable input to participants to bring more better content and concluded that the Teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the only way to be successful in the World and here after. The organizers appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and emphasized the importance of educational and academic activities in developing awareness of Islamic teachings, strengthening character and encouraging young people to contribute positively to society.
