Pakistan Army Launches Relief Operation After Canal Breach in Dera Ismail Khan

An emergency situation developed in Paharpur tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan after a major breach occurred in a canal, causing large volumes of water to flow toward nearby villages and populated areas. Officials said approximately 3,800 cusecs of water had been flowing through the canal when a breach measuring around 100 to 150 feet developed.

The breach resulted in water entering nearby villages and residential areas, raising concerns about damage to homes and property. The situation prompted authorities to launch emergency measures to contain the flow and protect local communities from further flooding.

Pakistan Army personnel reached the affected area and immediately began relief and emergency response operations. Troops are assisting local authorities and residents in managing the situation, containing the impact of the canal breach and providing assistance to communities at risk.
