Pakistan, Saudi Arabia Sign Agreement to Waive Visa Requirements for Diplomatic, Official Passport Holders

Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have signed an agreement abolishing visa requirements for holders of diplomatic and official or special passports.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced the development on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 2026) in New York.

Dar said he signed the agreement with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan.

Under the agreement, holders of diplomatic and official or special passports from Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will be able to travel between the two countries without obtaining visas, subject to the terms of the agreement.

Dar described the agreement as an important step toward facilitating high-level engagement and institutional exchanges between the two countries.

He said the development would also contribute to further strengthening the longstanding strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia across areas of mutual interest.

The agreement comes as Islamabad and Riyadh continue to expand cooperation in diplomatic, economic and strategic fields.
