Fitna al-Khwarij Attack Attempt Foiled, 9 Terrorists Killed in Kank Valley

QUETTA: Security forces have killed nine terrorists during an operation in the Kank Valley area of Mastung, Balochistan, as part of ongoing counterterrorism operations under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna 3, security sources said.

According to the sources, members of Fitna al-Khwarij attempted to attack a security post in Kank Valley.

Security forces responded immediately and effectively, killing two terrorists during the initial exchange of fire, the sources said.

The sources said security forces pursued the fleeing terrorists following the initial encounter.

During the subsequent operation, seven more terrorists were killed, taking the total number of militants killed to nine.

A significant quantity of weapons and ammunition was recovered from the killed terrorists, along with three motorcycles, according to security sources.

One security personnel was also injured during the intense exchange of fire.

The injured official was shifted to a hospital for medical treatment, the sources said.

Security forces have reiterated their determination to continue counterterrorism operations across Balochistan until the threat posed by terrorist elements is eliminated.
