M-1, M-14 Motorways and GT Road to Close From Wednesday Evening

ISLAMABAD: Several major motorways and highways will be closed to traffic from Wednesday evening, the Motorway Police said, advising motorists to check the latest traffic situation before travelling.

The M-1 motorway will remain closed in both directions between the Islamabad Toll Plaza and Chachh Interchange.

Several interchanges along the M-1 will also be closed, including Fateh Jang, Tarnol, Sangjani, Brahma Bahtar, Burhan, Hazara Motorway and Ghazi interchanges.

M-14 Motorway Also Closed

The M-14 motorway will also be closed in both directions from Hakla to Kundal from Wednesday evening.

According to the Motorway Police, the closure will affect the Fateh Jang, Pindi Gheb, Khurpa, Tarap, Daud Khel, Kot Balian and Isa Khel interchanges.

Motorists using these routes have been advised to make alternative travel arrangements and remain alert to further traffic updates.

GT Road Closure at Attock Khurd

The Motorway Police further announced that the GT Road (N-5) would also be closed in both directions at Attock Khurd from Wednesday evening.

Authorities have urged citizens to check official traffic updates before beginning their journeys and follow instructions issued by the Motorway Police.

The closures are expected to affect traffic movement on several important routes connecting Islamabad and northern Punjab with areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
