M-1 Motorway Closure Adds to Peshawar Residents’ Woes Amid PTI March Preparations

PESHAWAR: The closure of the M-1 motorway has added to the difficulties faced by residents of Peshawar as preparations for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned march towards Islamabad intensify.

Frequent political rallies and road closures have already disrupted routine movement in the city, while the closure of the M-1 has created additional difficulties for passengers travelling towards Islamabad.

Citizens said political parties should not put ordinary people through difficulties while pursuing their political objectives.

They urged political stakeholders to sit together and resolve their differences through dialogue and mutual understanding, so that political activities do not disrupt routine life and public movement.
