12 Terrorists Killed as Security Forces Foil Afghan Border Infiltration

ISPR Confirms 12 Terrorists Killed in Kurram Border Operation
Security forces foiled an attempted infiltration from the Afghan border into Kurram district on October 10, killing 12 terrorists, including Afghan Taliban personnel, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
In a statement, the military’s media wing said security forces responded effectively and prevented the terrorists from entering the district. During the operation, Afghan Taliban posts also opened fire in support of the infiltration attempt, triggering an intense exchange of fire between the opposing sides.
The ISPR confirmed that Naib Subedar Hidayat Aman embraced martyrdom while fighting the infiltrators during the fierce exchange of fire.
According to the statement, the martyred soldier was 40 years old and belonged to Ghizer district of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The military’s media wing said the security forces successfully thwarted the attempted infiltration through their effective response. The incident highlights continuing security concerns along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, particularly in areas vulnerable to cross-border infiltration.
Security forces remain engaged in efforts to prevent terrorist infiltration and respond to threats along the border. The reported involvement of Afghan Taliban posts in supporting the attempted infiltration adds to concerns over cross-border security.
The ISPR paid tribute to Naib Subedar Hidayat Aman for his sacrifice in defending the country during the operation.
