Expected Ramadan Office Timing 2025 Pakistan

ISLAMABAD – In line with tradition, the federal government will revise the working hours for its employees during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan in 2025, providing relief to workers.

The Establishment Division will issue a notification regarding the office timings, allowing federal government employees to observe the holy month of fasting more comfortably.

It is anticipated that the working hours at federal government offices will be reduced by two to three hours for Ramadan 2025.

For offices operating five days a week, the expected working hours will be from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, while offices open six days a week will operate from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

On Fridays, the working hours for federal government offices are expected to be set from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.

Ramadan 2025:

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will convene on February 28 to observe the moon sighting for Ramadan. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has also shared its prediction on this matter.

The department stated that the new moon of Ramadan 1446 AH will occur at the crossing conjunction point at 05:45 Pakistan Standard Time on February 28. “Astronomical parameters of the new moon and average cloud cover at the Pilot Balloon Observatories of the Pakistan Meteorological Department are attached herewith,” it mentioned.

According to the astronomical data, the Met Office has confirmed that there is “no chance” of sighting the new moon for Ramadan 1446 AH on the evening of February 28, 2025 (29th of Shaban 1446).

The weather is expected to be partly cloudy or fair across most parts of the country on that day, based on climate records.

When Will the First Roza Be in Pakistan?

According to the prediction from the Met Office, the month of Shaban will last 30 days, and the holy month of fasting will begin on March 2, 2025.

Therefore, the first Roza (fast) of Ramadan 2025 will be observed on Sunday, March 2.

Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is revered as the “month of fasting” by Muslims worldwide, who observe it each year with great devotion and enthusiasm.
