ISLAMABAD – The authorities in the nation’s capital, Islamabad, have unveiled updated operational hours for all governmental educational institutions during the holy of Ramadan in 2025.
A fresh directive issued by the Federal Directorate of Education outlines the newly adjusted schedules for schools and colleges. This revised timetable will come into effect next week and remain in place until the conclusion of Eidul Fitr.
Revised School Hours in Islamabad
For schools with a single shift, the revised hours will be from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, from Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, classes will run from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

For institutions with an evening shift, sessions will be conducted from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM from Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, these sessions will commence at 1:30 PM, concluding at 4:30 PM.
This decision is strategically designed to promote a balanced and orderly learning environment, while also accounting for the needs and comfort of both students and faculty. The educational authorities have strongly urged all institutions to comply with these revised hours, ensuring the smooth functioning of operations throughout Ramadan.
