Where to get New Currency Notes for Eid 2025?

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has officially announced that new currency notes for Eid 2025 are being distributed across the country in preparation for Eidul Fitr 2025.

According to the SBP statement, commercial banks have already begun providing fresh notes for eid 2025 to the public, ensuring widespread availability before the festive period.

Where to get New Currency Notes for Eid 2025?

In past years, SBP introduced an SMS-based service with the Pakistan Banks Association (PBA) for easy distribution of fresh notes. The process included:

1. SMS Registration – Sending your CNIC number and bank branch code to 8877.
2. Confirmation Message – Receiving an SMS with collection details.
3. Collection – Visiting the selected bank branch with your original CNIC and confirmation SMS.

Extensive Distribution Network in Place

The SBP emphasized that efforts are underway to guarantee easy access to new notes through Pakistan’s extensive banking network.

As part of this initiative, approximately Rs27 billion worth of fresh currency has already been supplied to 17,000 bank branches across the country during the holy month of Ramadan.

Additionally, ATMs nationwide will be stocked with clean, standard-quality banknotes, and cash monitoring teams have been deployed to oversee seamless distribution.

Commercial banks will continue dispensing new currency notes at their branches until Eid, ensuring hassle-free access for the public.

Eidul Fitr 2025 Moon Sighting Predictions

According to the Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council, Eidul Fitr in Pakistan is likely to be observed on March 31, 2025.

Experts predict that the Shawwal crescent will be visible across most parts of Pakistan on the evening of March 30, as it is expected to be over 26 hours old, meeting the visibility criteria.
