Youm-e-Ali Juloos Route & Traffic Plan – 22 March 2025
The central Youm-e-Ali (RA) procession is being held in Karachi today, March 22, 2024 (21st Ramzan), to commemorate the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali (RA). In response, Karachi traffic police have enforced a special traffic management plan, including road closures and alternate routes, to facilitate the juloos.
Youm-e-Ali Juloos Route and Road Closures
The main procession commenced at 1 PM from Nishtar Park and is moving through key areas, including Numaish, M.A. Jinnah Road, Sea Breeze, Empress Market (Saddar), Saddar Regal, and Tibet Centre. The juloos will conclude at Hussainia Imambargah in Kharadar via Bolton Market.
To manage traffic flow, M.A. Jinnah Road has been closed from Guru Mandir to Tower, with police actively directing vehicles to alternative routes.
Alternative Routes for Commuters
- Nazimabad Traffic: Use Lasbela Chowk and Nishtar Road to access the Garden area.
- Liaquatabad Commuters: Travel via Teen Hatti, Lasbela Chowk, and Central Jail routes.
- Hasan Square to PP Chowrangi: Diverted through Kashmir Road to Society Light Signal.
- Jail Flyover Traffic: Redirected towards Teen Hatti and Nishtar Road.
- Shahrah-e-Quaideen to Numaish Traffic: Rerouted via Kashmir Road through Society Light Signal.
- Jamshed Road to Guru Mandir: Suggested route via Bahadur Yar Jang Road and Soldier Bazaar.
