Sheikh Rasheed ordered to vacate ‘Lal Haveli’ within 7 days

RAWALPINDI: The Evacuee Trust Property Board has directed the Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed and his brother Sheikh Siddique to evacuate the Lal Haveli.

The AML Chief and his brother directed to evacuate his residence Lal Haveli, the political hub of the former interior minister.

As per reports the district administration of Rawalpindi served the notice to Sheikh Rasheed, which claimed that the former politician and his brother have lost the legal possession of the property.

The former interior minister was directed to vacate his residence within a week’s time as he failed to respond to the authority’s notice earlier reports suggest.

The authorities also gives a notice period of seven days to vacate the place,  and warned that it will take the help from law enforcers to vacate the property if it is not vacated within seven days.

The administrator in this regard has also approached the police for their assistance.

Meanwhile, the defiant politician rejected the claims of the local administration, saying that he had the legal right to the property.
