New Zealand batter Colin Munro has made the day for a ball boy during Islamabad United’s match against Peshawar Zalmi at Pindi Cricket Stadium.
The match had it all with Sami Ayub starting the show for Peshawar Zalmi, then Alex Hales’ magical effort in the field, fiery spell from Naseem Shah and Amir Jamal’s resistance.
However, none of the moment came close to a heartwarming gesture from Munro, who not only shared a fielding tip with a ball boy but also celebrated with him when he got it right.
The moment came during Peshawar Zalmi’s innings when a ball boy dropped a catch beyond the boundary, and Munro offered him some coaching advice.
Later, the ball boy received another opportunity and successfully caught the ball. Munro promptly celebrated with the young boy, making his day.
The video of his celebration went viral since, with the cricketing community describing it as one of the kindest moments to occur on the cricket field.
