India refuse to play Blind T20 World Cup in Pakistan
After refusing to play in the Champions Trophy, India have withdrawn from the upcoming Blind Cricket World Cup hosted by Pakistan.
The tournament will commence from November 23rds.
Cricket Association for the Blind in India secretary had confirmed the development stating that the team will not travel to Pakistan for the mega-event.
The Indian media reports said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government had not given the no-objection certificate (NOC) for the event.
“We were waiting for the last 25 days to get the consent of the government to travel to Pakistan for ensuring our participation in the T20 World Cup,” said the secretary.
Meanwhile, the Indian sports ministry had merely allowed the Indians to visit Pakistan for the tournament.
