Saim Ayub Dethrones India’s Hardik Pandya to Become No. 1 T20I All-Rounder

October 1, 2025: Pakistan’s rising cricket star Saim Ayub has created history by becoming the No. 1 T20I all-rounder in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Player Rankings. The 22-year-old overtook big names, including Hardik Pandya, Mohammad Nabi, Sikandar Raza, and Deependra Airee, to claim the top spot for the first time in his career.

Saim Ayub climbed four places to reach the No. 1 ranking among T20I all-rounders. His consistent performances with both bat and ball in recent series have made him Pakistan’s new cricket sensation.

Fans and experts praised his achievement, calling it a major milestone for Pakistan cricket.

Abhishek Sharma Tops Batting Rankings

While Saim shined in the all-rounders’ list, India’s Abhishek Sharma claimed the No. 1 position in batting after his excellent performance in the Asia Cup 2025 held in the UAE. Abhishek scored heavily throughout the tournament and was named Player of the Series.

England’s Phil Salt took the second position, followed by Tilak Varma of India at third. Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka, who smashed a century against India, moved into the top five.

Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan also made big progress, jumping 11 spots to reach 13th position. Other notable movers include India’s Sanju Samson (31st) and Bangladesh’s Saif Hassan (36th).

Big Changes in Bowling Rankings

In the bowling category, India’s spinner Kuldeep Yadav jumped nine places to secure 12th position after his four-wicket haul against Pakistan in the Asia Cup final.

Pakistan’s pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi also made an impressive climb, moving up 12 spots to 13th. Bangladesh’s Rishad Hossain (20th), India’s Jasprit Bumrah (29th), and Pakistan’s Mohammad Nawaz (41st) also improved their rankings.
