Elon Musk bids billions of dollars to buy OpenAI
Tesla and SpaceX owner Elon Musk has bid to buy ChatGPT maker OpenAI.
Tesla founder Elon Musk has bid $97.4 billion to buy OpenAI, the Wall Street Journal reported.
According to the report, Elon Musk’s lawyer has submitted this offer to the board of directors of OpenAI.
However, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman declined the offer and sarcastically wrote on X (former Twitter), “Thanks to the offer, we are not selling Open AI, but if you want, we are ready to buy Twitter for $9.74 billion.”
It should be noted that Elon Musk is in dispute with Open AI chief Sam Altman. Musk has also filed lawsuits against OpenAI and Sam Altman.
Elon Musk co-founded OpenAI in 2015 with Sam Altman and Greg Brockman. But in 2018, Elon Musk withdrew from OpenAI, saying that AI technology could be more dangerous than nuclear weapons.
