Artificial Intelligence to be taught in schools

It has been decided to teach Artificial Intelligence (AI) to children in primary and secondary schools in China.
According to a foreign news agency, the purpose of teaching artificial intelligence to school children is to further develop the artificial intelligence sector in China and to produce the skilled people needed for it.
A statement from the Beijing Municipal Education Commission said artificial intelligence lessons will be included in the curriculum of primary and secondary schools by the end of this year.
According to the report, schools will also be able to teach artificial intelligence lessons in a separate subject or combined with subjects such as information technology and science.
Authorities in Beijing are also considering exploring opportunities for more collaboration between universities and secondary schools to develop future experts for the field of artificial intelligence.
China’s artificial intelligence industry gained global attention earlier this year when DeepSeek, a Chinese company, proved its mettle in the global markets by releasing a new and advanced version of its AI chatbot.
