Discord Down: Global outage affects millions of users; Netizens react

Popular communication platform Discord faced a major outage, with many users reporting problems on social media platform X. According to Downdetector, the service went down and affected millions of users around the world.

Reports showed a large increase in complaints from users. Around 48% of people reported messaging problems, while 31% said the app crashed. Another 21% faced issues with the website, and many users said they were unable to join voice channels.

As the outage continued, social media quickly filled with reactions, jokes, and complaints. Pop Base shared the update on X, writing: “Discord is currently down for many users.”

Some users also reacted with humor. One user, Cerdrick, wrote: “Discord down means millions of people have to go outside and talk to real humans. Truly the worst day of the year for some.”

Another user named Phantom joked: “And just like that I have no friends.”

The news account DramaAlert also confirmed the outage, posting: “Discord is having an outage at the moment.”

So far, Discord has not announced when the problem will be fixed. The outage has temporarily disconnected many gamers and online communities who rely on the platform to chat and play together.
