Vivo X300s Specifications Revealed; 50MP Ultrawide Camera and More

Vivo has been slowly teasing details about its upcoming X300s Ultra smartphone. The company has revealed new information about the device every few days. Recent updates have focused on the rear camera setup, including the main, telephoto, and now the ultrawide camera.

50MP Ultrawide Camera Confirmed

Han Boxiao, Vivo’s Product Manager, shared an image showing the internal layout of the X300s Ultra’s rear cameras. The image confirmed that the phone will feature a 50MP ultrawide sensor.

The ultrawide camera uses the Sony LYTIA-818 sensor. It offers a large 1/1.28-inch sensor size, which should enhance light capture and overall image quality.

Additionally, the camera is said to support CIPA 6.0 video stabilization, an upgrade from last year’s CIPA 5.0 standard. This should improve video stability and low-light performance.

Hidden Sensor for Enhanced Color

In the teaser image, a fourth camera sensor is partially concealed behind an emoji. While Vivo has not confirmed its specifications, Boxiao suggested that it will enhance color capabilities.

Rumors indicate that this could be a 5MP multispectral camera, similar to the setup found in previous Vivo X-series phones, designed to improve color accuracy and detail in photos.

The Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to launch in China later this month, with a global launch possibly following shortly after.
