Netflix subscription prices raise all plans for second time

27 March, 2026 19:10

Everything seems to be getting more expensive, and now Netflix has joined the list. The streaming service has increased prices for all its plans, marking the second hike in just over a year.

The new prices are:

  • Ad-supported standard plan: $8.99 per month (up $1)
  • Standard plan without ads: $19.99 per month (up $2)
  • Premium plan: $26.99 per month (up $2)
  • Extra member fee: $7.99 per month for ad-supported plans, $9.99 for plans without ads (up $1)

The updated pricing was listed on a Netflix help page and reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

Streaming services have raised prices many times in recent years. Netflix also increased its subscription costs in January 2025. Other platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max, have raised their prices within the last year too.

While streaming companies say higher costs help fund original content, it is becoming harder for users to save money by switching from cable, as multiple price hikes make subscriptions more expensive.
