Apple’s first foldable iPhone expected to launch with iPhone 18 Pro series

Apple is reportedly working on its first foldable iPhone, which may be called the iPhone Ultra. According to leaks, the device could launch in September alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series, although Apple has not confirmed it yet.

New leaked case renders have shown the possible design of the upcoming foldable phone. The images show the device in a black color and give a clearer idea of how it may look in real life.

One of the surprising details is that the phone may not support MagSafe charging by default. This means users might need a special case to use magnetic wireless charging features.

The renders also suggest a different button layout. The volume buttons appear on the top side of the phone, while the power button is placed on the right. There is also a small cutout under the power button, which could be used for an antenna line.

On the back, the phone is expected to have a dual-camera setup, similar to the design seen in the iPhone Air series.

Reports say the iPhone Ultra may be very thin when unfolded, around 4.7mm, and about 9.23mm when folded. It could feature a 5.5-inch outer display and a larger 7.8-inch inner screen for multitasking and media use.

The device is also expected to run on Apple’s new A20 Pro chip. Camera upgrades may include a 48MP main sensor, and the battery size could be around 5,500mAh.

Another rumored feature is Touch ID built into the power button instead of Face ID under the display.

While nothing is confirmed yet, leaks suggest that Apple’s first foldable iPhone could bring a fresh design and new features to the smartphone market.
