OnePlus 16 leaks reveal mixed claims about 200MP camera and display

The upcoming OnePlus 16 is already gaining attention in the tech world, but new leaks are creating confusion about its final features.

Earlier reports from a Chinese tipster suggested that the phone could come with a major display upgrade. It was claimed that the device may support a minimum refresh rate of 185Hz and could even reach up to 240Hz. If true, this would be a big improvement compared to the OnePlus 15, which has a 165Hz display.

However, another leak has now challenged this claim. According to a different tipster, the OnePlus 16 may actually stick to a 165Hz refresh rate, making the earlier rumors uncertain.

Camera details are also not consistent across leaks. One report suggests the phone could feature a 200MP telephoto camera with 3x zoom and possibly a dedicated AI button. Another leak, however, claims the main camera might be 50MP instead of 200MP.

On the performance side, the device is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, although it has not been officially announced yet.

Battery life could be one of the biggest upgrades. Some reports suggest the phone may pack a huge 9,000mAh battery, which would be unusually large for a flagship smartphone.

At this stage, all information is based on leaks, so the final specifications of the OnePlus 16 may still change before its official launch.
