La Noti Swallowed by 28ft Python in Indonesia: Shocking Video Shows Farmer’s Tragic Fate

Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia: A horrifying video has surfaced showing the moment 61-year-old farmer La Noti was found dead inside the belly of a 28-foot python after going missing while feeding his livestock.

La Noti had gone out early Friday morning to tend to his chickens in Majapahut Village. But when he didn’t return home, his worried family began searching for him the next day.

They soon found his abandoned motorbike near a chicken coop, which sparked a large-scale search by locals. Hours later, a massive python with a bloated stomach was discovered motionless just a few feet away in the undergrowth.

Gruesome Discovery Confirmed Family’s Worst Fears

Villagers captured the giant snake and sliced it open, only to find La Noti’s fully clothed body inside, covered in slime. A disturbing video shows locals carefully cutting the python’s midsection to retrieve the 5’4″ farmer’s remains while shocked family members looked on.

Police and emergency services later confirmed the incident. Batauga police chief Masud Gunawan said: “The victim said goodbye to his family, saying he was going to feed his livestock but he did not return. The family and residents searched and found he had been swallowed by a large python.”

Snake Activity on the Rise in the Region

According to La Ode Risawal, head of a local disaster management agency, this is the first time a human has been eaten by a snake in the area. However, python sightings have become more common.

“Pythons have been appearing more frequently in people’s homes and gardens. We’ve warned locals not to go alone into the forest.”

Experts believe the surge in snake activity is due to deforestation and habitat loss, which forces these large reptiles to venture closer to human settlements in search of food.

In April 2025, a similar case occurred when a grandmother was swallowed by a 26-foot python in the same region.
