Council of Islamic Ideology to Hold Key Meeting on Four-Point Agenda

The Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) will hold an important meeting on Tuesday to discuss a four-point agenda covering key legal and religious matters. The council is expected to review several significant issues, including recent judicial decisions and proposed legislative reforms.

Among the main agenda items is a discussion on the Federal Shariat Court’s ruling related to suicide, as well as the Islamabad High Court’s decision in the Amara Waqas case. Members will also examine the Family Laws Bill 2016 introduced by Member of the National Assembly Sharmila Faruqui.

The council will further deliberate on the issue of eye cornea donation and transplantation, considering its religious and legal aspects. The meeting is expected to result in recommendations on these matters following detailed discussions by council members.
