Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi Highlights Martyrs Sacrifices, Calls for Peace and National Unity

Sindh Governor Nihal Hashmi said that “the death of a martyr is the life of the nation,” emphasizing the high status of martyrs in Islam. Citing Islamic teachings, he said that God has instructed believers not to regard martyrs as dead, adding that those who sacrifice their lives for the country deserve the highest respect and honor.

Hashmi said Pakistan is a country that advocates peace and stressed that the nation’s dignity and sovereignty must remain a top priority for all citizens. He added that while donating wealth is relatively easy, sacrificing one’s life is the greatest form of devotion, and the sacrifices made by martyrs should always be remembered.

The governor also said that if someone makes an inappropriate statement unintentionally, they should withdraw it. He called on religious scholars to play a greater role in promoting the message of peace, tolerance, and unity in society, saying their guidance can help strengthen national harmony and stability.
