Left arm spinner Mohammad Nawaz replaced Noman Ali for test series against Australia

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approved the inclusion of Mohammad Nawaz as the replacement of Noman Ali for the ongoing Test series against Australia.
Pakistan spinner Noman Ali was operated in an Australian hospital after had complained of sudden and severe abdominal pain yesterday, leading to examinations and scans in emergency that confirmed a diagnosis of acute appendicitis.
Mohammad Nawaz, 29-year-old left-arm spinner is already part of the 17-member T20I squad against New Zealand commencing from 12 January in New Zealand, will fly to Australia on the first available flight.

Nawaz has claimed 16 wickets in six Tests for Pakistan with bowling average of 31.00. Babar Azam and Mohammad Nawaz both made their Test debuts for Pakistan in 2016 against West Indies in Dubai.
On Abrar Ahmed’s availability, the team management is hopeful that abrar will be available to the side for the third test match at the sydney cricket ground, commencing from 3 january 2024.
