Shehbaz congrats Sadiq on election as London mayor

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulateds Sadiq Khan on historic third term as London Mayor.

“I congratulate Sadiq Khan on completing a hat-trick of becoming London mayor.” the prime minister said in a statement.

He added that being elected mayor of London for the third time is definitely a proof of the ability of Sadiq Khan.

Shehbaz Sharif wished Sadiq Khan more success in the future.

Earlier, Pakistan-origin Briton Sadiq Khan has emerged victorious in the London mayor’s election for a record third time.

Khan defeated his rival Susan Hall, a candidate of Conservative, by over 276,000 votes.

Sadiq Khan’s win was widely expected despite public anger over knife crime and the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) that charges drivers of older, more polluting vehicles a daily fee.
