Extreme Cold Continues Across Balochistan with Temperatures Dropping Below Zero
Extremely cold and dry weather conditions persisted across Balochistan, with minimum temperatures dropping below zero in several key cities. Quetta recorded a low of -4°C, while Ziarat experienced -5°C, according to the Meteorological Department.
The Met Office reported that intense cold continues in most districts of the province, with northern areas expected to face particularly severe temperatures. Partly cloudy skies are predicted in northwestern districts.
Other temperature readings across the province include Qalat at 6°C, Zhob at 3°C, Sibi at 7°C, Turbat at 11°C, Nokundi at 1°C, and Chaman at 2°C. Coastal areas such as Gwadar and Jiwani recorded relatively higher minimum temperatures of 9°C.
The Meteorological Department has advised residents to take necessary precautions against the ongoing cold spell, especially in northern and high-altitude areas.
