Afghan President Ashraf Ghani visits the besieged city of Mazar Sharif

Afghan President Ashraf Ghani visits the besieged city of Mazar Sharif today.

The Wednesday visit aims to rally his beleaguered forces.

During the visit, the Afghan President held talks with long-time strongman of the city Atta Mohammad Noor.

He also talked to famous warlord former Deputy Defence Minister Abdul Rashid Dostum about the defence of the city.
