At a summit in Britain to express solidarity with Ukraine’s president, European leaders agreed to continue military aid to Ukraine as long as the war continues and increase economic pressure on Russia.

A summit of European leaders was held in Britain to express solidarity with Ukraine after tensions between US President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelensky.

The meeting was attended by Ukrainian President Zelensky, the heads of Canada, France, Germany, Italy and other European countries, Nato Secretary General, presidents of the European Commission and the European Council.

The meeting discussed efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war and broader European defense.

In a press briefing after the meeting, British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer said that the heads of the meeting agreed on four important points.

“It was agreed in the meeting that as long as the war continues, Ukraine’s military assistance will continue, economic pressure on Russia will be increased, Ukraine should be present at any peace negotiating table, and in the event of a peace deal, European leaders will aim to prevent a future Russian attack,” Starmer said.

The British Prime Minister said that permanent peace will ensure Ukraine’s security and sovereignty, everyone agrees to protect Ukraine and guarantee peace in the country.
