Saudi Arabia announces Sunday as first day of Eid ul Fitr

Saudi Arabia has confirmed that Sunday, March 30, 2025, will be the first day of Eid Al-Fitr after the Shawwal crescent moon was sighted on Saturday evening.
The moon-sighting committee met after Maghrib prayers and verified the new moon, ending Ramadan after 29 days of fasting. The Royal Court officially declared Saturday as the last day of Ramadan and Sunday as Eid Al-Fitr.
Eid prayers will take place on Sunday morning at 15,948 mosques and 3,939 outdoor prayer areas across the country. Muslims will celebrate the occasion with prayers and family gatherings.
