Two Brothers Martyred in Israeli Drone Strike on South Lebanon
Two brothers, identified as Hassan and Hussein Suleiman, were martyred on Monday in an Israeli drone strike targeting the town of Al-Bayyadh in southern Lebanon’s Tyre district, according to a report from Al Mayadeen’s correspondent.
Earlier, the correspondent reported that an Israeli drone dropped a sound bomb over the Kroum al-Marah area in the town of Mais al-Jabal, sparking panic among residents.
Israeli military vehicles also carried out engineering and land-leveling operations in the Wadi Hunin area, between the towns of Maraka and Adaisseh, in what was described as a clear violation of Lebanese sovereignty.
These attacks are part of an ongoing Israeli escalation against southern Lebanese towns and villages. On Sunday, Israeli drone strikes on southern and eastern Lebanon killed four Lebanese civilians and wounded two others.
The repeated assaults have been condemned as a breach of UN Resolution 1701, which calls for a cessation of hostilities. The strikes have targeted areas in southern Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, and even the southern suburbs of Beirut.
In recent days, a Lebanese civilian was also killed by an Israeli drone in the coastal town of Naqoura, while another drone strike on the Nabi Sheet road in the Bekaa region killed one more civilian.
The Lebanese Health Ministry further reported a man was injured in Aitaroun by unexploded Israeli ordnance, and an earlier incident in Blida saw an Israeli drone targeting an excavator, rendering it inoperable.
The situation remains tense across southern Lebanon amid fears of further Israeli aggression.
