Bondi Beach Shooting: Injured Attacker Formally Indicted

17 December, 2025 11:21

The attacker arrested in the shooting incident on Bondi Beach in Sydney, Australia, has officially been indicted.

According to a foreign news agency, Australian police say that the injured attacker in the Bondi Beach shooting has been charged with 50 charges, including terrorism.

It should be recalled that three days ago, two armed men opened fire on Sydney’s Bondi Beach, killing 15 people and injuring 40 others in the attack.

One of the attackers was arrested by police at the scene, while the second attacker was arrested.

The man killed in the attack was identified as Sajid Akram, a resident of Hyderabad, Telangana, India, while his son, Naveed Akram, is an Australian citizen.

Sajid Akram went to Australia on a student visa in 1998, while his son Naveed Akram was born in Australia.

Earlier today, the world is witnessing what Pakistan has long maintained: that India is systematically promoting terrorism at the state level, not only in occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan, but also in countries such as Canada, the United States, and across Europe. The brutal Bondi Beach attack in Sydney is being cited as further evidence of what Pakistan describes as India’s global sponsorship of terrorism.

Several international newspapers have published reports containing sensational revelations regarding alleged Indian state-sponsored terrorism, exposing the Modi government’s role on a global scale.

The reported contact between Australian security officials and India’s intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), has raised serious questions. These links are being cited as evidence suggesting RAW’s systematic involvement in the Sydney attack.

The international media reports, including the BBC have claimed that the Sydney Bondi Beach attack suspect, Sajid Akram, traveled on an Indian passport. Philippine immigration officials have confirmed that Sajid Akram and his son Naveed Akram traveled to the Philippines shortly before the Sydney shooting incident.

Both 50-year-old Indian Sajid Akram and his 24-year-old son Naveed Akram are citizens of Australia. According to immigration documents, the two landed in the Philippines on November 1 from Sydney, with Davao province in the south of the country identified as their intended destination. They left on November 28.
