Masjid an-Nabawi Muazzin Sheikh Faisal Nouman passes away

Sheikh Faisal Nouman, the muazzin of the holy Masjid an-Nabawi, has passed away. (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji‘un)

His funeral prayers (Namaz-e-Janaza) were held at Masjid an-Nabawi after the Fajr prayer on Tuesday, 23 December. He was laid to rest at the historic Baqi Al-Gharqad cemetery.

The news was confirmed by the Saudi Arabia–based website Inside the Haramain on social media.

Sheikh Faisal Nouman had served as a muazzin at Masjid an-Nabawi for many years. His melodious call to prayers and deep religious devotion touched the hearts of millions of Muslims around the world.

Many scholars, worshippers, and devout Muslims have expressed deep sorrow over his passing and prayed for the forgiveness of his soul. His death is seen as a loss to the Muslim Ummah, as he was a devoted servant of Islam.
