Afghan Journals Expose Taliban’s Killings and Torture of Ex-Soldiers
Following allegations of alleged sponsorship of terrorist groups, the Taliban regime’s crimes against humanity have now begun to be exposed.
According to reports, the external support received by the Taliban government is not only posing a threat to regional peace but is also pushing Afghanistan itself towards severe instability.
Investigations published in Afghan journals following reports from international organizations have made startling revelations about alleged Taliban atrocities.
The Afghan journal further reported that the Taliban are systematically targeting former Afghan military personnel.
The report claims that during 2025, the Taliban killed 123 former military personnel in 29 provinces, while 131 former military personnel were arrested and tortured in 20 provinces. The majority of these arrests were allegedly made without any court warrant.
The Afghan Journal claimed that former soldiers detained in Taliban prisons faced harsh and inhumane treatment, including various forms of physical torture. The report described these measures as serious human rights violations.
Analysts say these revelations have further highlighted the gap between the Taliban regime’s claims and the realities on the ground, while urging the international community to take serious note of the human rights situation in Afghanistan.
