Hezbollah targets Israeli Meron, Nafah bases in new retaliatory attacks

03 March, 2026 12:17

Beirut, March 3, 2026: Hezbollah has carried out two drone strikes targeting Israeli military facilities in northern occupied Palestine and the Syrian Golan Heights, officials from the Lebanese group confirmed.

The Islamic Resistance announced that a swarm of drones struck the Meron base at 6:30 a.m., damaging a radar system and a command building. The facility is reportedly used for surveillance and air operations management by Israeli forces.

Shortly afterward, Hezbollah said it targeted the Nafah base in the occupied Syrian Golan Heights, which serves as headquarters of the Israeli military’s 210th Brigade stationed along the northern front.

These operations follow an earlier strike on Ramat David airbase in northern occupied Palestine at 5:00 a.m., where Hezbollah said drones targeted radar systems and control rooms.

The group described all three drone operations as a response to what it calls “criminal Israeli aggression” against Lebanese towns and cities, including southern Beirut.

Hezbollah emphasized that its strikes were aimed solely at military targets, contrasting them with Israeli attacks on civilian areas. The organization also cited failed diplomatic and political efforts to halt the aggression as justification for its retaliatory measures.
