Middle East Airspace Closures Disrupt 9,500 Flights
Aviation sources report that more than 9,500 flights have been canceled across seven major airports in the Middle East due to the current regional situation and widespread airspace closures.
These disruptions have primarily impacted operations at Dubai, Doha, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Al Maktoum airports.
The scale of the cancellations has escalated rapidly over recent days. On February 28, approximately 1,400 flights were canceled across these seven hubs.
This was followed by a significant peak on March 1 and 2, when a combined total of 3,400 flights were grounded. Most recently, on March 3, an additional 1,300 flights were canceled as the regional aviation challenges persist.
