97 Pakistan Flights to Middle East Canceled Today
Due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, 97 flights from Pakistan to the region have been canceled today, with a further 58 cancellations expected. Over the past eight days, the total number of flight cancellations from Pakistan to the Middle East has reached 1,300, while total global flight cancellations to the region have climbed to 27,600 over the past week.
The impact across Pakistan’s airports is significant. In Karachi, 25 flights to Doha, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Bahrain have been canceled, while 13 remain operational. Lahore has seen 22 cancellations to Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Doha, and Sharjah, with 7 flights expected to operate. In Islamabad, 26 flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Doha, and Sharjah have been canceled, with 16 still running.
Additionally, 10 flights from Peshawar to Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ras Al Khaimah were canceled, with 6 expected to operate. Sialkot saw 5 cancellations to Doha, Dubai, and Sharjah, with 4 still operating. Multan recorded 6 cancellations to Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Dammam, while Faisalabad reported 3 cancellations to Dubai and Sharjah, with 4 flights continuing to operate.
Amid these disruptions, Doha Airport has announced the partial restoration of flight operations starting today, following a week-long suspension.
