Kensington Palace Confirms Kate’s First Overseas Tour After Cancer Battle

Kensington Palace confirms on Wednesday, that Princess of Wales, set to her first official overseas tour to Italy on coming week of May, its’s her first visit since undergoing treatment for cancer.

The future queen of Britain’s Italy tour will carry out a two day visit to Reggio Emilia. During Her visit, she focused on early childhood development.

The selected destination was not by chance. The visit will center on the ‘Reggio Emilia approach,’ an educational philosophy that places relationships, the natural environment and community at the heart of a child’s development, and has influenced schools and early years settings around the world.

A Kensington Palace spokesperson said. “The princess is very much looking forward to visiting Italy next week and seeing first-hand how the Reggio Emilia approach creates environments where nature and loving human relationships come together to support children’s development.”

In 2024, Kate point out her undergoing chemotherapy for a undefined type cancer, and said last year she was in decrease.

Since her illness, she has significantly reduced her official workload, saying she was taking each day as it comes.

While she has been appearing in public more often, she hasn’t joined William on his latest international visits.

Kate’s significant ingenuity now centers on refining young children’s emotional and social health. She and William have three children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 11, and Prince Louis, eight.

In 2021, she introduced The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood to bring together experts and research on the issue. On Wednesday, the centre will publish a new resource, the Foundations for Life guide.

She wrote in its foreword, ‘n a world which feels increasingly distracted, fragmented and digital … it is more important than ever to invest in what truly helps us to thrive: human connection.’
