USA at Risk of Hantavirus Spread

According to the US news sources seventeen American passengers aboard a cruise ship struck by a lethal Hantavirus outbreak are expected to disembark in the Canary Islands last Sunday before being transported to Omaha, Nebraska for necessary quarantine to save the outbreak.

The outbreak, which began after the ship departed Argentina in April, has already resulted in three deaths and multiple confirmed infections. Public fear and distress increase’s as reported by the authorities for a possible outbreak in the US.

As denoted by the scientist this carries the Andes-Virus commonly known to spread from person to person even with quarantine efforts, The World Health Organization (WHO) confirmed about the cluster, while they said Hantavirus is usually spread by Rodents.

Scientists describes that since the virus is shed through urine, it is most possible to detect it in wastewater systems if testing is expanded, they added the ship waste is dumped in sea therefore it is necessary to keep a track.
